HISTORY.png

The Equendas are masters of ranged combat, specializing in archery and druidic magic. Their strategy revolves around controlling the battlefield from a distance, utilizing powerful archer units like the Ranger and Warden to unleash precise, devastating volleys. Supporting these ranged units, Druids and Protectors fortify their positions with healing spells and defensive abilities, ensuring the Equendas maintain dominance in drawn-out battles. Their key strength lies in their ability to adapt and grow over time, planting seeds and nurturing the battlefield to expand their influence. Units like the Ent carry archers into combat, maximizing damage potential while maintaining defense. However, the Equendas struggle in close-quarter combat due to their lower armor and reliance on maintaining distance. If the enemy manages to breach their lines and close the gap, the Equendas can be quickly overwhelmed. As a faction, they require strategic positioning and timing, thriving in defensive, long-range engagements but vulnerable to rush tactics and heavy melee opponents.

The creatures of the Equendas are deeply connected to nature, embodying their devotion to the forest. Elks are majestic, swift creatures that carry their rangers into battle with grace and precision. These loyal companions provide the Equendas with mobility and speed, allowing them to outmaneuver their enemies. However, the true guardians of the forest are the Ents—towering, ancient tree spirits that roam the sacred groves. These immense beings are not only a symbol of the Equendas’ deep bond with the land but also powerful protectors. When the tranquility of the forests is threatened, the Ents unleash their wrath, smashing foes with their massive limbs and ensuring that nature remains undisturbed.

Equenthos is a vast, enchanted forest filled with beauty and life. Once the seat of the High Elven Empire, it now thrives under the care of the Equendas, who have spent centuries restoring its magical groves. The region is divided into four key areas: the Emerald Thicket in the north, a dense, ancient forest teeming with magic; the Bright Spread in the west, where enchanted beaches meet crystal-clear waters; the Thorned Thicket in the south, a dangerous land protected by the Wall of Thorns, halting corruption from the south; and the central Ruins of Solmordras, once the grandest Elven city, now overgrown with nature. Equenthos stands as a testament to the resilience of the Equendas and their dedication to the preservation of their sacred lands.

Equenor is the capital city of the Equendas, a breathtaking fusion of nature and civilization. The city’s structures are colossal trees, hollowed and shaped by ancient druidic arts into homes and meeting halls. The elves reside within these natural structures, living in harmony with the environment. At the heart of the city stands the revered Heart Tree, a colossal, sacred tree believed to connect the Elves to their ancient wild gods and the Eternal Grove. It is here that the Equendas perform funeral rites, placing sacred flowers at its roots to ensure the souls of the fallen garner passage to the vale. The Emerald Council, a guiding body of wise Elves, convene in the cities tree tops to lead the Equendas in their spiritual and political matters, ensuring balance with nature is always maintained.

Fiana Enateth, Nyanem of the Equendas, is a revered leader and master archer known for her unwavering resolve. Born in the turmoil of the War of the West and scared by the loss of her family during the Burning of Breezevale, Fiana has spent her life training in the Emerald Thicket for the wars to come. Her unparalleled skills with the bow earned her the title of the Emerald Arrow. Her journey from a grieving youth to a fierce protector of the Equendas shaped her into a leader with a deep sense of duty and justice. As Nyanem, she guides her people with a balanced hand—both nurturing their connection to nature and leading them in defense of their homeland. Fiana’s ability to blend druidic magic with her archery prowess makes her a force to be reckoned with, and a beacon of hope for the Equendas.

The Equendas, or Forest Elves, are an ancient Elven Following dedicated to the preservation of nature. Long ago, they distanced themselves from their High Elven kin, rejecting arcane magic in favor of druidism and a deep connection to the natural world. After the fall of the High Elven Empire, which saw their homeland scorched in the fires of rebellion, the Equendas took it upon themselves to restore the ruined forests of Equenthos. Over centuries, they transformed the once desolate land into a flourishing haven of life. Guided by their beliefs in the Eternal Grove—a realm of peace where Elven souls reunite after death—the Equendas are driven by a sacred duty to protect the world from destruction. Although peaceful at heart, they are fierce defenders of their homeland, using their mastery of archery and druidic magic to ensure that no harm comes to their forests. Today, they stand as symbols of resilience, healing, and the enduring strength of the natural world.
