HISTORY.png

The Gemo'ie are an enigmatic faction of powerful Ice Elves, defined by their unparalleled mastery over mana and magic. Their strength lies in their ability to control the battlefield through devastating spells and crowd control, making them the most mana-adept faction in the game. Units like the Archmage and Prismguard excel in casting powerful arcane and frost magic, while their frontline units, like the Ice Golem, absorb damage to protect their more fragile spellcasters. The Gemo'ie rely heavily on their mana reserves to maintain an offensive edge, but their lower speed and survivability make them vulnerable if overwhelmed. Success with the Gemo'ie requires careful management of mana resources and precise tactical execution to counter their weaknesses in mobility and endurance.

The Gemo'ie, once known as the Selan'ie, were the ruling High Elven Following that dominated the ancient empire. After the assassination of King Aduln Selanos and the collapse of the empire during Aran’s Rebellion 1000 years ago, the Selan'ie fled north under the leadership of Aduln’s son, Leonym Selanos. Consumed by anger and vengeance, Leonym vowed to rebuild the empire and punish those who had destroyed it. He led the surviving Selan'ie to the desolate, frozen land known in legend as Styl’raeth, renaming their following the Gemo'ie, meaning "Retribution of the High Elves."

In this icy realm, the Gemo'ie forged the city of Gemodras, mastering frost and arcane magic, and becoming powerful wielders of mana. Leonym, known as the Frozen Prince, spent his life preparing his people for a return to power and revenge on the lesser races of Eldor. After his recent death, his daughter, Kaleen Selanos, has taken up her father's mantle, continuing his obsessive quest for retribution in his memory.

The White Wyverns, fierce descendants of the dragons once cherished by the High Elven Empire, are tamed by the Gemo'ie and serve as powerful mounts in battle. Found in the icy caps of Styl'raeth, these majestic creatures are symbols of authority, their frost breath capable of devastating enemy forces. Alongside them, the Lucolf, crystalline wolves that roam the Prismatic Forest, are equally vital to the Gemo'ie. Feeding on ambient mana, the Lucolf grow stronger in proximity to magical sources, making them perfect companions for the mana-adept Gemo'ie. Mounted into combat, the Lucolf and White Wyverns reflect the Gemo'ie's mastery over both nature and magic, blending ice and arcane might to dominate the battlefield.

Styl'raeth is a frozen, desolate land located far to the north, shrouded in mystery and dominated by the presence of the Mana Scar, an unreachable source of primal mana. This unnatural power source warps the landscape, giving rise to crystalline growths and strange, mana-hungry creatures like the Lucolf. The region is one of the most inhospitable in all of Eldinar, with endless snowstorms, treacherous ice, and eerie silence that haunts the land. Despite these harsh conditions, the Gemo'ie elves call it home, having built the grand city of Gemodras in the icy wasteland. The further north one travels, the more the environment warps, with the Prismatic Forest acting as a strange transition zone between natural and unnatural, reflecting the land’s eerie, magical aura.

Gemodras, the icy heart of the Gemo'ie, is a city of prismatic energy, glass, and ornate ice structures. Its architecture boasts elegant curves and intricate designs, reflecting the elves’ obsession with status and superiority. The bitter cold is combated by the finest furs, worn by a populace driven by power and appearance. In this city, politics is a game of ruthless scheming, with no room for weakness. Frozen golems and crystal elementals guard the city’s entrances, while White Wyverns, symbols of authority, soar above, and dragon iconography dominates places of prestige. Mana wells, scattered throughout, serve as fountains of magical power, with residents bathing in and consuming the raw energy to fuel their lust for dominance. In Gemodras, empathy is dead, and only power matters.

Queen Kaleen Selanos, heir to the High Elven Empire, is revered as one of the most powerful sorceresses in Eldinar. Disciplined, cold, and methodical, she has spent centuries absorbing magical power in the Mana Chambers beneath Gemodras. Her father, Leonym Selanos, harbored a deep hatred for humanity, seeking their genocide and attempting to instill these values in Kaleen. When her compassionate mother pushed back against his ideals, Leonym banished her to the frozen wastes, leaving Kaleen torn between these conflicting ideologies. Scorned for her "soft" tendencies, she endured harsh drills and training under Leonym's cruel hand. Now, Kaleen rules the Gemo'ie with icy precision, her heart hardened by her father’s abuse and the scheming of her malevolent court. While the High Elven council conspires behind her back, none dare challenge her directly, fearing the wrath of her unparalleled magical might.
