HISTORY.png

The Throgar Clan are aggressive, speed-driven Orcs who dominate through mounted warfare and ruthless tactics. Their strength lies in swift, mobile assaults, where units like the Pillager, Raider, and Warlord, mounted on powerful Boars, can quickly strike and reposition across the battlefield. The Throgar excel in fast-paced engagements, disorienting enemies with mid-range attacks and brute-force crowd control. Their units can overwhelm opponents when used for hit-and-run tactics, perfect for weakening enemy defenses and exploiting gaps. However, the Throgar’s dependence on speed comes with sacrifices. Their light armor makes them vulnerable to sustained damage, and if caught in prolonged engagements, their survivability plummets. When forced into defensive positions or unable to outmaneuver foes, their lack of versatility becomes a significant disadvantage. Success for the Throgar depends on maintaining pressure and using their mobility to disrupt enemy formations before being overwhelmed.

Dire Boars are integral to every aspect of Urug society. These colossal, tusked creatures are both feared and revered by the Urug Orcs. Traditionally, the boars are tamed from a young age, their role ranging from loyal mounts in war to essential sources of food, clothing, and ritualistic adornments. These beasts are unmatched in strength and speed, making them invaluable for the Urugs’ swift, brutal raids. Dire Boar hides are used in armor, their bones and tusks are crafted into weapons and tools, and their meat sustains the tribe. In Garn, being able to tame and ride a Dire Boar is a rite of passage, with young Urugs training from childhood. Mastering one of these beasts ensures status, honor, and survival.

Garn is a wild and expansive region dominated by the Dire Lands, a sprawling savanna where the horizon blends with the endless sky. Sparse acacia trees dot the landscape, and scattered watering holes provide a brief respite for both travelers and predators alike. The northern Spear Coast is known for its windswept shores and denser vegetation, where untamed growth thrives under the relentless northern winds. The ancient Ugarian Mountains lie in the northwest, their treacherous Warrior’s Pass being the only entrance to the home of the legendary Ugarian Orcs. Further west lies the Bleeding Sands and beyond them, the cursed Red Wastes—an inhospitable expanse where only banished Orcs and unspeakable horrors dwell. The Lost City, an ancient ruin, serves as a dangerous refuge for outcasts, smugglers, and mercenaries.

Gar'zol, the sacred city of the Urug, once stood as a neutral ground where Orcish clans could meet, trade, and honor Ulbahg. the God of Boars under the watchful eyes of the wise Shamans. Now, with the rise of High Warchief Krogath and the formation of the Throgar Clan, the city has transformed into the heart of a war machine. Its structures, a blend of acacia wood, Direboar hides, and bones, are built atop ancient Ugarian ruins. Relics of Urug culture remain—brothels, inns, shops, and the revered fighting pits—but the once-sacred traditions are overshadowed by the militaristic focus of the World Clan. At its center lies an infamous Pit of Steel, where brave Urug warriors test their mettle.

High Warchief Krogath, the Earthbreaker and King of the Pits, is a warrior worth legends. Born to a small tribe in eastern Garn, he was sold to slavery at the age 7 and forced to fight in brutal arenas across Kil'raeth, where he quickly earned fame for his unmatched strength and ferocity. After winning his freedom at 30, Krogath returned to Garn, seeking revenge on his tribe for giving him up as a boy. He burned their village to the ground and begun a new path of conquest. Krogath’s thirst for dominance led him to challenge and defeat Grubag the Great, a powerful chieftain, at the annual Gathering of Clans. Through sheer might, he unified the fractured Urug tribes into the mighty Throgar Clan—'The World Clan'—with ambitions to conquer all of Eldinar. His ruthless determination and warrior’s spirit have made him both feared and revered across the land.

Strengths Weaknesses.png

- The Throgar excel in fast, mobile warfare, using their mounted units to quickly strike and retreat across the battlefield.

- The Throgar dominate mid-range engagements with high damage output, easily disarming and outpacing slower enemy forces.

- The Throgar’s crowd control abilities effectively disrupt enemy formations, making them masters of battlefield chaos and confusion.

- The Throgar boast superior adaptability, quickly shifting strategies to take advantage of battlefield conditions and enemy weaknesses.

- The Throgar lack defensive durability, making them vulnerable to sustained attacks and heavily fortified enemy positions.

- The Throgar struggle in prolonged engagements, where their reliance on mobility falters against more heavily armored or entrenched forces.

- The Throgar's mobility-based strategy becomes ineffective when their units are slowed, immobilized, or forced into narrow choke points.

- The Throgar’s specialization limits their versatility, leaving them vulnerable to specialized enemy compositions that exploit their speed-based weaknesses.

The Throgar Clan, descendants of the mighty Ugarian Empire, uphold the traditions of their ancestors who once ruled the plains of Garn. The ruins of the Ugarian cities, now weathered and crumbling, still dot the savanna, while a small, isolated group of Ugarians continues to reside in the Ugarian Mountains to the northwest. Though the empire has faded, its legacy lives on through the Urug, who are defined by their fierce sense of freedom, honor, and glory. Dire Boars, revered as sacred beasts, are essential to Urug life, both in war and daily survival. The Urug are not isolationist, nor do they care for the petty divisions of race or origin; their respect is earned only through strength and combat prowess. Garn's plains are a crucible of survival, where only the strong thrive, and the Urug’s way of life celebrates personal power and the thrill of battle. Their scattered clans may often war amongst themselves, but they remain united in their relentless pursuit of individual freedom and the glory of honorable combat.
